And people think Christianity is weird
Re: DNA Confirms Parents of 'Baby 81':
These parents have really been through hell trying to get their baby back. Can you imagine? Eight other couples claimed the baby, so they had to wait for DNA testing to validate their claim. Thank God they will be reunited!
But the parents have some promises to keep.
"Jenita Jeyarajah said that as soon as she regains custody of her son, she will fulfill vows to smash 100 coconuts at a temple of the elephant-headed Hindu god Ganesh, offer sweet rice to the warrior god Murugan and kill a rooster for the goddess Kali."
I'm sorry, I know it's not politically correct of me, but this makes me laugh -- especially when I consider how as a young revolutionary I had no respect for Christianity and instead turned to Eastern religion to seek the truth. If you'd asked me then why I didn't look into Christianity I would have said it was too weird.
Well thank God I have a heavenly Father who provides miracles on a daily basis but doesn't expect me to smash coconuts at his temple.
