The anti-child view
I'm republishing this entry because the hyperlink got messed up somehow the first time:
Came across this tonight and didn't find it amusing. To me this is prejudice against children, based on and reinforcing negative stereotypes -- the moral equivalent of racism. I dunno. I have this thing about getting people to respect kids, to treat them as individuals, to expect the best from them. This makes it seem like they're some kind of dread disease.
Sad.

I tried to follow the link and I don't think it went where you wanted it to go...
Thanks for your thoughtful post on night time parenting. I just got up from a not-so-restful night with my six month old. It's good to be reminded again of how quickly this, too, shall pass. I'll miss him so much when he's bigger and doesn't need me so much! =)
