Apologies all around
Dear Matt --
I am sorry for hurting you. I will keep it as simple as that. I know it is a painful loss for you that Luke is gone. I am praying that God will give you the strength to get through this time as well as the other difficulties you are facing.
I have removed this morning's blog for no other reason but to show you how much I care.
To Matt's friends: Thank you for taking care of Matt during this time. I am sorry I have not been a good example of a follower of Christ. Please don't write Jesus off because his followers can be so weak and so wrong.
Take care, Matt, and know that if you were in reach, I would brush your hair back like I did when you were a little boy and say:
The Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord make his face shine upon you
The Lord lift up his countenance and give you peace.

Posting from a mom's heart. My heart ached for you & your son. Rereading it brought tears. Praying that he'll remember that same memory & verse through this ordeal.
