Writers: Mentoring Clinic
Attention Writers:
New Clinic Intensive Offered
November 7-10, 2005
From the website:
A new three-day event for Christian writers is being offered by Mount Hermon, in response to the success of mentoring tracks within its popular spring conference.
In the three-night, four-day stay, students will get one-on-one and group critique of writing projects they submit in advance. Each instructor will work with the same 1012 students for the entire conference.
Registrants must bring a laptop computer with them and be willing to have their works-in-progress critiqued in front of the group, as well as in one-on-one private sessions with the instructor.
The mid-week clinic runs Monday night through Thursday noon. Tuition is $325, plus room and board in a variety of levels (deluxe, standard, and economy) in Mount Hermons conference center hotel facilities.
Mentoring instructors include Karen Ball, James Scott Bell, Randy Ingermanson, and Gayle Roper in fiction books; Joy P. Gage, Steve Laube, and Karen OConnor in non-fiction books; Christine Tangvald in childrens books; Barbara Curtis and Holly Miller in articles.
The nationally known faculty will be augmented with others if attendance warrants it, as instructors are limited to 10-12 students each.
