Why I love having lots of kids
You know how when you've been away a while you see the significance in the familiar things? My first night back from Denver, I found Daniel sleeping with his feet crossed like this:
Daniel's bedding is pure white microfiber because he's allergic to dust mites (I had no experience with allergies and never expected I'd have to deal with them, but when you adopt, you start dealing with different gene pools :)
At the other end, Daniel held the neckscarf of his beloved purple bear, which was sitting on his chest, staring steadfastly at the sleeping human:
Friday night, we shooed Jasmine and Nathan out of the house for dinner and a movie. Lizzy missed her mommy and cried a lot, but Uncle Josh managed to get her to sleep:
On Saturday, I found Jonny playing The Mad Scientist and saying, "Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk." Seems a Three Stooges video had found its way into our formerly Three Stoogeless home. Jonny, far from being a passive viewer, immediately went rummaging through the garage to come up with the proper attire for mixing potions in Mom's blue crystal glasses:
An hour later, he had his Phantom of the Opera cape and mask and was singing dramatically. This kid is something else!

These pictures are so wonderful. Children really are so incredible - it just melts my heart. I am a little emotional these days, but these shots would've teared me up anytime:)

Barbara, thanks so much for the pics! I also enjoy appreciating the little details in life. Johnny looks like he's tons of fun, lol.

Barbara,
You do have a happy-looking family.
I have to laugh--my in-laws have that same plaque posted over their sink: "Thou shalt not whine."

The picture of Jonny in the kitchen had me grinning ear to ear. I remember doing the same thing as a child, however I didn't go so far as wearing protective eyewear and gloves. Great picture. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures! The one of the cute footies really got to me...and then each picture was better than the one before. The Mad Scientist is priceless.

Thanks for sharing those pictures with us. I love family photos--mine and other peoples'. I cannot believe how much Daniel looks like our little "downzer" (I love that term), Malcolm.

The feet soooooo got me.
Those are some cute feet. How cute is THAT?! Seriously adorable - crossed at the ankles.
And I'm diggin' the safety guard and gloves - I mean, truly, you just never know when you gently stir inside a cobalt blue glass ... something COULD happen!
*snicker*snort*
LOVE IT!

Barbara - I got my book today and i am so excited! It's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to jump in and get reading (just as soon as bedtime for the babies roles around)! This was just so sweet of you and I can't thank you enough. I hadn't really taken the time yet to celebrate this pregnancy - just busy with the first two:) - so thanks for doing it for me and inspiring me to sit back and really enjoy being pregnant with this little miracle!
