Back to Basics for Mommies

Good news for those who thought my blog would never return to normal (and who wanted it to):

I am off to have a good cry, to clean my house, to hug my kids, and maybe later to answer my email. Anyone who wants to continue commenting on my Katrina thought and afterthoughts may do so.

But tomorrow, I am back to doing my job: sharing what I've learned about being a mom and occasionally about being a writer. Encouraging, equipping and empowering moms. Because moms hold the future in their peanut-butter-and-jelly stained hands.

I may go off on tangents now and then, but sooner or later, I'll always be back to basics.

Love,

Awww, Barbara, you're wonderful no matter what you are pontificating on. :)

Giggles. Pontificating is the word, for sure. Can anyone say ENTJ?

See what I mean - I was planning to cry for a few hours, but I've already stopped. And I've made a lot of progress cleaning up the laundry room which is where everyone likes to dump.

Or as my kids say "Where two or more are gathered, there Mom will give a sermon." Actually I passed that onto them from a talk I heard Florence Littauer give - but they loved it and use it. They also like to say, "You're a doodle, mama," from Driving Miss Daisy.

Thanks for your honest musings - I've appreciated the things you've had to say over the last week - looking forward also to more about mommy life, homeschooling, etc. :)

Hear, hear! How does one comment when you closed the comments on the post I wanted to comment on? :) Nevermind, probably don't need TWO ENTJ's pontificating on the same subject!!! :)

Blessings to you, Barbara.

Barbara, I was fascinated by the discussion and your thoughts. You are a passionate, generous woman---how could you not wear your heart on your sleeve? I'd rather see a heart on a sleeve than a heart on the bottom of a shoe.

I LOL @ "where two or more are gathered, mom will give a sermon"...I don't even need two. Give me *one* kiddo and let the musings and life philosophies flow. I am a close relative, an ENFJ.

Hugs.

I, too, ask: What is an ENFJ?
"Enuf Jam?" (There is never enough jam...) Please enlighten.
