Barbara's Picks
I hope you all are checking out Barbara's Picks in the left hand sidebar. Not because I'm trying to get you to buy stuff, but because in the entries I've packed a lot of information about how to maximize your child's learning expeience with each item. You can translate the principles to whatever you have at hand. Everything I've listed - except the retro Lucy apron I found last night and plan to ask for for Christmas :) - is stuff I've used with my kids and I know is worth having.
I will continue to add stuff - the descriptions sometimes take a while. I've also added two categories: Celebrating Mommies and Holidays. I'm starting with Thanksgiving and will be adding more Thanksgiving stuff - plus blogging soon on how you can make the most of Thanksgiving as part of your family culture and heritage.
