Five things
Five Things That Might Surprise You About me:
I have three tattoos (circa 1970 or so)
I am terrified of roller coasters and ferris wheels.
I don’t like sweets or gardening, though I’ve tried both.
I’ve lived in 20 different places, scattered through 12 states.
I’ve interviewed Chuck Colson and been interviewed by James Dobson.

1. Your tatoo on right forearm is one of the first things I liked about you (cf. picture of you and daughter at graduation on flicker)
2. I was thrown out of a carnival ride, the Scrambler, when I was 8 and have, obviously, lived to tell about it. I still ride the ferris wheel and roller coasters but with much praying.
3. I wish I didn't like sweets! I am confused by photographs of "great gardens", they look messy to me. I prefer photographs of great rooms, but LOVE to eat organic food.
4. I've lived in a city I used to dream of as a child: New York City. I was raised in the country and now, raising my own family, lust for the country.
5. I was once shoulder to shoulder against Charles Colson in a crowded hallway, and tried, for 2 years, to persuade Dr. Dobson to interview my client, but never achieved it.

I once rode facedown on an inner tube, tied behind a skidoo, down a long lane in the middle of the Ontario bush, with the scarf around my neck dragging under the inner tube, unknown to me, and survived. (Eats shoots and leaves that one. :-)
I boiled several dozen eggs for breakfast for a school full of Native American girls every Friday morning for two school years.
I saw Leonard Nimoy signing his autobiography in the basement of BOrders in downtown Chicago, years ago. His ears were not pointed.
I heard Sue Grafton speak about writing her alphabet mysteries at a local college a number of years back.
No one has ever interviewed me. So I blog to make up for it. :-)
My husband sang "Daisy, Daisy" to me, with a sombrero on his head, in front of an Atlanta WRiters' group, not long after we were married. He wasn't even a writer, and got picked out of the group at random, for the honor.
