God's greatest gift: Children

lots of babies.jpg
In an amazing step-by-step story of how God changed her heart about children, a senior associate editor at Christianity Today - writes first of her love affair with the Pill and then of the seed of discontent God planted - without her knowing - because of a job assignment:

Early in my job as an editor at CT, I worked on a piece by a just-married couple, Sam and Bethany Torode, which they later developed into a provocative little book titled Open Embrace: A Protestant Couple Rethinks Contraception. It was a personal narrative about how they—somewhat irresponsibly, I thought—had had unprotected sex since their wedding. They were so cute, so Bible times!

This is a must-read! I have always believed that only obedient Catholics and Quiver-Full families are truly pro-life. Protestants who practice birth control and oppose abortion deserve the name given them by the media - anti-abortion. This article chronicles the journey of a woman who would have argued tooth and nail against that position, but has now come to believe it herself.

Read A Hard Pill to Swallow: How the tiny tablet upset my soul by Agnieszka Tennant.

And the articles that caused her to search her soul and change her mind:
Make Love and Babies by Sam and Bethany Torode.

Unwanted Interruptions: Why is our culture so hostile to children-inside and outside the womb? An interview with theological ethicist Amy Laura Hall.

Love,
