Need help? Blog Rescue is here!

You've often heard me refer to my BlogGuru or - more recently my BlogCommando. He is the very gifted person who took my blog from its very tentative beginnings on WordPad and shaped it into what it was supposed to be.

He worked on my template and sidebars and plug-ins - all the things I didn't have time to learn to do because all I really wanted to do was write. What I really liked was that each time I needed to make a change he offered to teach me or do it for me. So I was able to learn and grow in the technical area at a pace I could handle - which was probably that of a snail. Still, while I can find my way around a lot better than I used to, I can count on Ed to take care of any changes to my blog. Nothing seems to be beyond his reach.

We have been through two major upheavals together - the first as I outgrew WordPad and needed to move to Moveable Type last spring. That was accomplished without a hitch.

More recently, some of you may recall how my site was plagued with downtime - especially, it seemed, at critical moments when I really needed to be up and running, like when I'd have a national radio interview. Aaaarrrggghhh - I can still remember the feeling of powerlessness as our server could just not be counted on to provide consistent service.

But Ed came to the rescue. Since we couldn't count on our server, he decided to take over the job himself. He has purchased oodles of bandwidth and is now ready to take on other customers like me who want a provider they can actually reach and who actually cares whether they have service.

So, for anyone out there in need of hosting or web services, I am proud and happy to announce someone you can be confident in. I know when I was new to blogging, I didn't have a clue where to get help, and I consider it one of those providential gifts that I "met" Ed - who lives with his wonderful family half a continent away from me.

He can do things like help you register a domain name and point your blogger address to it so instead of having to type my lengthy moveable type address, you just type mommylife.net. He can set up your sidebars and links and teach you how to do it yourself. He can set up systems within your blog - like my Barbara's Picks and Thanksgiving and Christmas Ideas.

He will give you a price in advance so you know what you’re in for. And my reaction to how much I've paid for all that he's done is that it hardly seems enough. Hey, come to think of it: Ed, I'm so grateful for all your help!

So for anyone out there who’s been looking for help,

BlogRescue is finally here!

Love,

Well, that's good to know, should I ever decide to pay to blog. ;)

Thanks for yet another great piece of counsel, Barbara! I contacted Blog Rescue as soon as I read your post and I've already received back a gratis evaluation of my blog (www.considerablegrace.com) and an incredibly INexpensive offer to help me improve things.

So in addition to buying books and educational toys based on your advice, I'm now enjoying great blog help too.

Thanks again! And please give our love to your entire family --

Yours sincerely,
Tara Barthel
(& Fred & Sophia Grace)
