    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

Yet Another Stupid Attack on Christmas

Why do we continue bowing to the tyranny of the minority? Things like this embolden me to do all I can to preserve our cultural traditions.

School's Giving Tree Turns Into Giving Counter
They also remind me that the instigators are people in darkness and pain. By reflex, I will pray for them

The darkness may do its best to overcome the light, but the light remains. They can take away a word here, a tree there, but they cannot defeat the Truth:

Why waste your breath moaning at the crowd?

Nothing can be done to stop the shouting

If every tongue was still the noise would still continue

The rocks and stones themselves would start to sing

Barbara,
I love that graphic on the bottom. Where did you find it?

At a local school they have had a giving tree all year, every year. And it's not in the shape of a "christmas" tree. It's just a tree. I think that a good way to do it. An all year tree can't be specifically christmas. So it can't offend anyone.
