Laura Ingraham broadcasting from Iraq

Okay, we all know that we're not getting the REAL news on what's going on in Iraq. The MSM (mainstream media) focuses only on whatever will make the US look bad and slants the news, calling terrorists "insurgents" rather than acknowledging how marginal they are.

Laura Ingraham is a talk show host in the DC area. I have no idea how wide her broadcast area is. I listen to her every day because she is intelligent, witty, warm and a very pro-life conservative. As a side note, she is battling breast cancer, but ever since she got the diagnosis and let her listeners know she was beginning treatment, she has focused not on herself but on the news we need to hear.

What she has done now is incredible. She is in Baghdad, Iraq at Camp Victory and Camp Liberty to get the real scoop from the troops themselves on what is going on. She is broadcasting live from there today - and I guess more days to come - 9-12 EST.

Find out if you get her show in your area here.

The show is live streamed over the Internet, but you have to be a member to hear it - which starts at 5.95. Go to The Laura Ingraham Show for more information.

Love,

Barbara,
You may have sense that I'm not as quite as politically conservative as you are. (I'm reacting against different things. :-) However, I have heard/seen Laura Ingraham a couple of times, and find her smart, funny, and often right. I am sorry to hear about her health problem.
She is not mean, like Ann Coulter, who should get into gardening, for awhile.

I used to be able to listen to Laura Ingraham as I took my daughter to school in the morning. Unfortunately, the radio station did a reformating switcheroo and took off Bill Bennett (stupid move, IMO) and replaced him with a local guy. This moved Larua's show up an hour and now I don't get the chance to hear her as often as I used to.

I'd heard she was going to Iraq but I wasn't sure when. I'm glad she's there because we need more real reporting of the facts.

Sorry, I missed this. We used to listen to Laura on KSKY online (when my hubby was on a shift that allowed him to be home at that time). We don't get her locally.

I didn't know she had cancer.

I'm sure this was an awesome show. I always enjoyed her perspective!

Laura Ingram is also available on XM Radio, in case anyone reading this is a subscriber. I think she's on channel 166 (not sure of the number, but it's the conservative talk channel).

We live in an area that has a dearth of the sort of radio stations we tend to enjoy, so one of our splurges is XM Radio. We ended up putting it into my husband's office, since the music is commercial-free. Our new truck also came with three free months, and we decided to keep up the subscription. Anyway, anyone who feels that they only get a one-sided view of the news may want to consider this. (Plus, we love that there are three classical music stations...a bluegrass station...several Christian stations...three country stations...etc., etc., etc.0
