Welcome Midday Connection listeners!

welcome.jpg

Well, my goodness --

Anita Lustrea just called to say they were rerunning my interview on The Mommy Manual, so i know there will be a lot of new visitors here!!

Thanks - and welcome - and I hope you find a lot of helpful information, encouragement and joy here. I've been blogging for just over a year - as a way to connect more closely with my readers - and there are over 500 entries here, on all kinds of topics, from Montessori to chores to coloring books. Well, you name it, if it's something mothers need infromation/advice/encouragement on, you will probably find it here.

For those new to blogs, you can click on the tabs above for categories or an archives. You can also use the Google feature on my left sidebar to look up anything you want to on my site. Another helpful place is Barbara's Picks in the upper left hand corner where I recommend things that as a Montessori teacher and mother of 12 I know are helpful in raising kids. But more than that, I explain why they are helpful and how you can use them to best advantage.

I hope you have time to explore, but if not, don't forget to come back another day. Feel free to introduce yourself- just leave a comment here or anywhere!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Love,
Barbara

I really enjoyed hearing your program on this afternoon! I'm currently trying to type this comment with my 13 month old daughter sitting on my lap playing with a calculator as a phone. :)

I was very encouraged by what you had to say. My current issues with Chloe are how to train her to come when called/obedience, when to not comply with her request, and hints about potty training things to know in advance.

She's our first and obviously only. :) I do my best to talk to her as a person not baby. She is great about entertaining herself and playing on her own. She loves to be rough-housed with. Overall, she's a ham - not a bit shy!! She's got a bit of a temper - I've heard the same for most little girls!

Anyhow... I'd love some hints about the topics I mentioned. :) This site is now on my favorites list. :)

Thanks again for your encouragement! The walls were closing in by feet not inches last week. Your words were very timely!

Thanks for the welcome! I have a blog, too, but I'm not nearly as experienced as you are when it comes to raising children. :-) My dh actually sent me your website address via e-mail... saying that you were on Midday and "sounded really nice." :-)

AAARGGH. I didn't get to hear it. I was planning to and then they aired a special Moody Bible Institue service during that time.

I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now and was hoping to hear the radio spot. Guess I will just have to go into midday connection and listen via the archives.

Barbara! Finally! I am so excited! when I first read this I thought, oh great...yet another thing I don't get to take part in because I live overseas...but today i checked out the site just to see and sure enough! ARCHIVES!!!! Yippie! Whoo hoooo! i got to listen to tuesdays broadcast of you on thursday, and stop it repeatedly for other "mommy tasks" that came up in between, so i didn't even have to worry about "missing out" on anything while i took my 3 year old to the bathroom for example. *winks* i am so excited!!!

SO for anyone who feels they "missed it"...they have it stored on thier archives! you can still hear it!

It was so nice finally getting to hear your voice Barbara! and such a sweet kind voice too!
