    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

A few comments from MommyLife readers:

Barb, thanks for pulling us all together this way. It was time consuming, I’m sure, but you reminded us all that just because we get older, become wives and mothers, work or don’t work, we still need to play and have fun. What better way than with other women who share many things in common… only one of them being laundry.
May the Lord bless you and keep you today. Go shine for Him,
Shalee

This was an awesome contest idea! I really enjoyed all the pictures and the comments. Thanks!
Melissa (lurker)

Before I list my votes for the contest, I just wanted to thank you
for your blog. I have not yet been blessed with children, but I love
reading about others' experiences and have always enjoyed reading what
you have to write. Keep up the great work!

Emily

Thanks for running the contest! My daughter and I enjoyed seeing into the laundry room lives of others!
Kathy

Lord, Please Meet Me in the Laundry Room was my introduction to you. It's
a wonderful book! I'm glad some more lucky readers will get to read it.

Elaine

Thanks for listing all the pictures in one place, it's much easier than the archive searching I did yesterday (couldn't keep everything straight). I'm going to vote for moms with kids in the picture 'cause I would imagine these ladies need your book the most. :-)

Cheri

I have only read your blog since the begninning of the contest it was posted on Choosing Home. I never realized til I read this that the Laundry Room and other household chores really is where I pray the most. Thank you
Charlotte

Thank you for all you’re doing----the many ways you make life sweet for so many. You’re a blessing to all---especially to me.
I’m thinking that mama (Sarah #31 - laundry in the bathroom) never ever gets a chance to enjoy the solitude of time in the bath or even to potty without the constant reminder of whatever cycle the laundry’s in. She might as well have your book in hand.
Then I’m thinking that (Shalee#14) that mom ought to have a book or any prize for daring to show that side of her to the whole world. But---(no pun intended) I guess if I was that young and fit, I just might send you such a photo—don’t hold your breath, but I might.
And finally, (Becky #25) I am thinking this mama never leaves the kitchen all day long---she must think there must be more to life than cooking and laundry. So… maybe she’ll put on some coffee and take some time to read.
Lots of love to you-----------and thanks for keeping women informed *&* entertained, too.

Thanks for the contest! It's been a fun way to put faces to some in the Mommylife community. Blessings,
Heather

****And Now for a Big and Very Happy Surprise!*****

My editor was so delighted by the contest that my publisher has agreed to give EVERY CONTESTANT a free copy of Lord, Please Meet Me in the Laundry Room! I found this out three days ago and have been bursting with the news - now I can tell you! All 32 contestants, please send me your address and I will autograph your copy. If you already have a copy and would like me to sign it for someone else, please let me know.

Congratulations to everyone! And don't forget to meet the Lord in your laundry room - and at your kitchen sink and and stuck in traffic and in the garden. Meet him while changing diapers, paying bills, cooking, vacuuming, scrubbing the toilet.

Well, you get the picture, I'm sure.

He loves you and wants to meet you everywhere!

Love,

This just makes my day! I was up all night with a six year old whose supper began revisiting her late last night and I was doing emergency laundry at 1 in the morning and then at two and then at three. We have just recently found out we are expecting baby number 6 and the morning sickness kicked in with that last load around 3:00am so I was meeting the Lord in the laundry room and the bathroom and everywhere in between LOL. And my birthday is Thursday so this is a great birthday present. Thank you and pass the thanks on to your publisher too please.

What a wonderful surprise! Thank you very much, Barbara, and please thank your editor and publisher.
This contest was a lot of fun! Moms have to be creative in many ways, to do what we do, and the contest gave us an opportunity to show our creativity.

Hooray for books for everyone! Thank you SO MUCH for doing this, Barbara!

Posted by: Carrie | March 21, 2006 9:40 AM

Aww, Barbara! I thought that the surprise was going to be a picture of YOU in YOUR laundry room! LOL

I will cherish my signed copy of your book and believe I will donate my copy to our local library since there are no copies of Barbara Curtis books in our entire library system!

Much love and thanks!

Bravo to your publisher and editor!!

Congratulations to all the winners...very creative entries!

And thank you to everyone who entered the contest. I enjoyed seeing all of you in your laundry room. In fact, it reminds me that I have some to do right now...Bye!

Woo hoo! We're all winners!

And Pamela, I have to admit that I didn't even think about the whole world seeing my hiney. I just thought about what the most realistic pose would be... As to young and fit, let's just say that the camera probably caught my best side.

Thanks again Barbara! (And thanks to your publisher too!)
