Let's lighten up!
My daughter Samantha just sent me this and it made me laught out loud!
~ Tough Love vs. Spanking ~Most of America's populace think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of "those moments."
One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together.
I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.
Sincerely,
A Friend

Oh so funny! Love the speeding meter in the forefront of the photo--or to the right of the screaming boy!
LOL!

ok that's really funny. Although, honestly I think spanking can be a good method if done properly and not in anger. My parents spanked me, without anger, and did a great job! :) Beats being dragged on the outside of the car like you picture!!! LOL just kididng.

I don't remember driving Samantha in my backseat that day ...

Ever since I can remember a disagreement or conflict within my parent's home, my brother or I-sometimes both of us would be summoned to my dad's truck for a ride.
Sometimes these rides were early in the morning or late at night. What I remember best about them was that no matter how long we drove with the breeze billowing through his windows-over the bridges-through the city, no matter where we went, is that we often talked about nothing as my father blasted Neil Diamond tunes and we cooled off.
These are some of the best memories I have as a child.
I have employed the same tactic within my home, and a few weeks ago, after some turmoil with my teen daughter, we got into the car and drove to Toledo, OH. That is about 45 minutes away-much further than I had driven before.
On our way home, she and I sang our hearts out to some music on the radio with the windows down and the sunroof open-it was amazing.
Ok, so I know this has nothing really in common at all with your post except for the three main subjects, a car, a parent, and a child.
Thank you for jogging my memory tonight-I am sure that I will sleep well.
