Diet Buddies

You know how when you're pregnant, all of a sudden it seems like there are just so many pregnant women around?
I kinda feel that way now about dieting. Since I've started, it seems like the whole world is on a diet too. Well, at least those of us who need it :) I really am excited about all the MommyLife readers who've joined me on this journey. Your comments and emails have encouraged me as I hope I am encouraging you.
Now one of my dear blog friends - Mel of Actual Unretouched Photo, a terrific writer and mother of four - has joined Club Mom as their Diet Blogger. You can read her diet journal at The Amazing Shrinking Mom.
Mel is warm and funny and real. I know you will enjoy her!

I'm so glad I came here from Elana's site this morning!!!
I am on day 11 of the Fat Flush and I have lost 12 pounds.
I will be reading all of your entries and I would love to congratulate you on the wonderful changes you have made and on your terrific weight loss!
I have 75 more pounds to go before I am at a reasonable weight...and your journey has given me hope that I can get there!!!
May I ask a few questions?
Have you stayed on Phase One the whole time?
Are you bouncing on a mini tramp?
Are you walking?
I had thought I would go on to Phase 2, but I don't want to do that if I stop losing weight.
Do you still drink the cranwater (yuck)?
And do you take the supplements.
I am taking a GLA and Milk Thistle.
Thank you for sharing your great story! I hope I have just as encouraging of a story to tell :o)

Hi Miz Booshay - Yay for another Diet Buddy! I actually haven't even gone into the actual Fat Flush. I started with the Fast Track Detox - 7 days prep, one day fast, three days post/fast - and I just kinda stayed on that, so my choices are even more limited. I fast one day a week - or at least I did until May. This month I've been allowing myself something off diet once in a while, but not eating much. I walk a couple times a week, have not gotten a mimitrmap yet.
To tell the truth, I just have been so busy living I haven't had time to read the actual Fat Flush proper book and implement everything. The Fast Track was working for me, so I just kinda kept it simple. I started out taking the supplements they sell at the website, but no longer do. I drink the cranwater on my fast day, take flaxseedoil and vinegar now and then.
But I think it's important to follow the diet religiously for at least two months before seeing if it's possible to intentionally allow yourself something offdiet now and then. When I tried it, my eating was under control, so it was okay. But if it was out of control, I would snap back to absolute strict dieting immediately. I never want to be out of control in eating again, even if it means that I can't eat as much as I see others eat. I'm me and I shold eat only what I need to eat for the body God gave me. That's it, plain and simple.
