Perfect Mother's Day gift
I was just replacing the batteries in the Bird Clock I've enjoyed marking time by for seven years when I realized some of you might be looking for ideas for presents for your own mom.

I can't imagine a mom who wouldn't love this! Every hour is represented by a different bird and on the hour she will enjoy hearing that bird's song. A light sensor turns off the sound automatically in the dark. I keep mine in the laundry room, and I have a small version on my desk next to the computer. Enjoy!
And if anyone else has ideas, feel free to add them. It's not too late to order this clock from amazon to have in time for Mother's Day.

I have this clock (actually a gift *from my mom) and love it. It throws first-time visitors, though, who think we have birds in the house.

My friend has this very clock, only she has taped photos of her 7 children over each bird. Now child #5 sounds like a Mourning Dove : ) but it's fun. Hey Barbara! You have 12 kids--12 hours---
My dad has a clock that features different car engine sounds at each hour. HOWEVER, it DOES not have a light sensor. "...And this is what the Ford Mustang sounds like at 3 a.m."

I have this clock and I LOVE IT... it doesn't "sound off" when it is dark in the room... so occasionally when I am up in the middle of the night...and flip on the switch for a glass of water..... I hear something different coming from THE CLOCK! LOL
