Uncle Jonny

Jonny may be a 14 year old guy, but he is all mush when it comes to babies. Here he is with Jasmine's #5 (and my 10th grandchild - but I'm not bragging :). Her name is Melissa, but we call her Missy.

However, like a lot of 14 year old guys, Jonny is completely helpless when the baby cries. We kept telling Jonny to hold Missy up because being in that position reminded her of lunchtime (you know how that is!), but his arm got tired. Shortly after I shot these, Missy decided she'd had enough pictures and was overdue for a meal. At the first wail, Jonny looked completely discombobulated and ready to hand her off to the next person.

"Baby sad," he said.

Love,

This is going to sound nuts, but I LOVE your sofa fabric! I have carried around a remnant of that print for four years, just waiting for the right chair on which to use it. It's such a rich blend of natural imagery and handsome colors.

Of course the 14-year-old and new grandchild are good-looking, too : )

How touching. :-) The last time we went to a movie, there were three downs girls in front of us, and we enjoyed their joyful reaction to the movie just as much as the movie itself. :-)

What a cute photo! Jonny looks like he enjoyed holding baby Missy.

Jonny reminds me of that guy on Lost, Charlie. Who was also in Lord of the Rings as a hobbit. Very sweet!

Meredith - It doesn't sound nuts - but one of those small-worldish kinda things. We have a set of five pieces from back in the days when everything matched. They were originally covered with this white/pastel flame stitch fabric. You can imagine how long that lasted in our home (what was I thinking?). After a few years they needed reupholstering. I looked a long time for fabric and just fell in love with the one you see in the picture. That was 17 years ago and it is still going strong, though the pieces near the windows are a little faded because I can't bear to close the shades during the day unless it's super cold or super hot.

Carol, Deb, and Mrs. DMG - thanks! Jonny is a cute guy - and as sweet as he looks!
