  • The Little Red Hen
    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool
  • A Chair for My Mother
    A Chair for My Mother
A remarkably beautiful story told by a young girl whose mother is a waitress. Since they lost all their furniture in a fire, they've been saving mother’s tips in a jar – so they can buy a big comfortable chair for their whole family to enjoy – daughter, mother and grandmother. Life has its ups and downs, but there’s always lots of love. Ages 4-7

We're in good company!

MommyLife is now averaging 1400 visits per day. That means a lot of people - I mean, a LOT of people - read without commenting. That's okay - and I want you to know I appreciate your stopping by!

But what intrigues me are some of the names of towns you all come from - Roundup, Montana; Humble, Texas - as well as places as far away as Hanoi, Beijing, The Phillipines, South Africa. I wish some of you would add yourselves to my Frappr (now in the lower left sidebar) to make it even more interesting!

Being a person whose purpose is to communicate, this blog has given me the opportunity that articles and books just could not provide - to share ideas in real time with people who don't have to pay to read them (though I don't mind if you read my books too :)

I thank God for my readers every day - and as though we were best friends sitting and having a cup of coffee together (though I don't drink coffee anymore - maybe tea?), I feel like I'll never run out of ideas for things to talk about.

Thank you so much for coming by to visit! Today is my birthday, so let's just imagine a couple of virtual cupcakes for us to share (Maddy asked me, "Mom, are you going to put ALL the candles on the cake this year?")

Happy Belated Birthday! Your post made me decide to de-lurk and say hi! I blog too, and I've been told by so many that they read my blog regularly, but they don't/won't comment for whatever reason! I sure wish they would, to let me know they're there, so here I am. :)

Hope you had a beautiful birthday.
