My new website
Thanks to my wonderful technical support - the person I have variously referred to as BloGuru and BlogMaster, I now have a wondeful, fresh-looking updated website. Please hurry over to BarbaraCurtis.com to see it!
Now, here's an idea: How about I come visit you in person? All you have to do is talk to whoever's in charge of Women's Ministries at your church or a Pro-Life group you know. Ask them to visit my website and my blog to see if maybe they'd like me to come speak at a retreat or luncheon or something.
I hardly have anything on my calendar for the next 12 months, so it would be very possible.
What do you think?

I like it too! Are the headers your actual handwriting? Either way, it is pretty!

Barbara
Like I've said before....call me if you ever want to come to NYC again! I live close. I'll give your offer a thought!

Yay Barbara! I love the new site, it is very fresh and exciting! And how exciting to hear that you are free to speak this year. Will you fly down to Dallas and have coffee with me? :) Seriously, I will be forwarding your site to the women's leader at our church and suggesting that she give you an invite.

I love it! I'm trying to figure out a way for you to come here . . .

I wish we had a MOPS group at our church to invite you to but we don't. My husband keeps saying I need to drive up to your house and hang out awhile(I'm always quoting you to him!), like you have the time! ;-) Really, he's so thankful I found your site b/c it's been so encouraging to me. Maybe I could gather my playgroup together to hear you. :-) Thanks for all you do...now on TWO websites!

Actually, it's not a new site, but an update on my first site - which I've had for around 7 years and which was in desperate need of an makeover. I am so limited because I don't know how to do these things myself and really don't have the time to learn (too busy writing :) Fortunately, in the beginning days of this blog I somehow came across my BlogGuru who has helped me with this my blog and now with my website. The wesite won't be a diversion from here, though. Once it's up, it's up. It's not dynamic or interactive like a blog, but just kinda hangs there like a billboard on the highway - promoting my books and speaking.
Mrs. DMG - yes, the headers are my handwriting. And my BG is going to fix my signature so that when the page opens, it will actually write as though I were doing it then and there. How cool is that?
It would definitely be a blessing if I get to come to where you are and meet some of you someday. I will keep you posted if anything turns up!
Laurie - I spent my teen years in Falls Church - in a teensy house on Meadow Lane just off Route 50. It's still there, but now the streets are lined with cars because every house has more than one car. Back then, people were lucky to have one. Our family didn't. I walked to and from O'Connell High every day - I think that's a couple miles each way. And when I got a job I commuted on the bus to DC. Funny how things change.

Laurie, I am laughing hard at your comment because i find myself saying the same thing to my husband and friends.. "Well, Barbara Curtis said (or did)such and such." It is SO funny!!
We all should get together like some of the mid west gals.

The new look is fabulous!
I see in your sidebar that 'Reaching the Left from the Right' is available for pre-order. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to reading it! It's the kind of book that I have been wishing for several years that someone would write.
