Diet Update

fat lady.jpg

I've lost 63 pounds. I am wearing size 14 capris. Is it worth not eating everything I'd like to eat? You bet it is!

My only question is why did I wait so long? It's a great feeling not to be a slave to food anymore!

Remember to send me your total weight loss since 2/2 so I can update the Fat Lady on my sidebar!

I wish I had your willpower. That's awesome, keep it up, maybe it will rub off on me and I can lose some.

Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, FYI.

CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for being my motivator!

I just started the Fat Flush this week and have lost 5 lbs so far. :) The weekend is hard, but I am excited about transforming. :)

Thanks so much for being so transparent with your ups and downs of dieting. My husband and I are both starting Fat Flush today. It will not be easy, but definitely necessary. You're encouragement was big motivator. Thanks Barbara!
BTW - Congrats on your success!

Barbara--
You have done such a wonderful job committing to and sticking with your diet/lifestyle change. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!

Back in February, I cut meat from my diet and lost five pounds, seemingly overnight. My moods stabilized and I stopped having headaches as often. But I still broke the 200 pound point. In mid April, I decided to join you (well, it wasn't so much about joining you as it was taking control of my health while I still could!).

As of today (in 15 weeks), I have lost an additional 28.4 pounds, bringing my grand total to 33.4 pounds lost! I have not been this thin since before I became pregnant with my youngest (who is now 5 years old). I feel great knowing that I can and am doing this for me :)

HMMMM. . . .wondering if anyone else is experiencing trouble seeing the amount they've lost themselves. . . My friends and co-workers are great encouragers, telling me how great I look, but when I tell them that I'm only half way to my goal, they cringe.

Well, I'm going to do it anyways. Here's to more walks, swimming with the kids, bike riding, and lots of other fun activities I refused to do (cause I almost couldn't!).
