MommyLife Weigh In

Margaret, from The Cappuccino Life made this comment:

Also, I wanted to quickly add that Barbara, you are a real help to me with my own weight problems. I'm out of denial, at least. Thank you for being so blunt and straightforward about this issue. I have lost 1 dress size since reading your weight updates, and have started exercising more and eating more healthily. My husband thanks you, too. :D)

Now, I know that some of you - including a few husbands - have lost a little weight since I announced my own diet. I thought maybe we could just start totalling up how many pounds we've lost altogether - starting today.

I've lost 58. And I haven't really lost anything the past month because I've been not really sticking to my diet. I've been coasting and maintaining. Today is my first day back strictly on the diet as I began it February 2. Except that I am indulging in caffeine. I am not going back to coffee (because I only like it with real half&half), but I am doing iced tea and Diet Pepsi with Lime.

Oh, and my hubby's lost 14 pounds, so together we've lost 72. Let me know via comments or private email. I'll total and display the number of pounds lost by MommyLife readers on my sidebar.

Let me know! I will post new totals every Tuesday.

Love,

I never can give up coffee while I'm dieting and to make it worse my coffee is about 600 calories. This is due to Carnation french vanilla creamer, so I blame it on Nestle. My husband always looks in my cup and says "Would you like some coffee with your creamer. Ha, ha, ha.

I lost 12 lbs this Spring (can't remember when I really started, it was about the same time as you posted your new diet, Mrs. Barbara).

However, I don't know if my loss counts, because now I'm in the gaining department! I've been pretty good so far and am very happy to say that I weigh less now at 3 months of pregnancy with my 3rd than I did when I got pregnant with my 1st! :-)

If you're still doing this in Feb. next year I'll be glad to be a part of your club again. :-D

Congrats on all the weight lost everyone!

I weighed in at 172 at 2 weeks post partum (baby#6)and today I weighed in at 141.5. I've gone froma size 18 to an 8. I workout 6 days per week (weight training and cardio) and am following an eating plan called "Eat to Live"

I think I have about 15 lbs to go so that I can be back in a size 4.

I've lost 32. :)

Well, I no longer weigh myself, but I have lost that dress size and a full inch around my hips, waist and (alas) bust since I measured last. :)

Last time I weighed myself, I was 239, down from 285 at the end of my last pregnancy (I know, YIKES!!!). I must be around 229 now.
My goal is to be into size 12-14. I actually was very healthy, and felt and looked great at size 16, but if I can get down to that, then I can go a little lower and be even healthier and better looking.

What's helped me most is recognizing my eating as the sin of gluttony. It is amazing how much I used to eat, but still complain about how "I don't eat that much". Piffle! I was totally lying to myself.

Thank you Barbara!
