Spending Less at the Grocery Store

This was on my AOL browser this morning and I thought it might be useful - although I don't think you should "bribe" kids with a lollipop: Five Ways Grocery Stores Trick You.

This is why I heartily recommend Peapod delivery if you have it where you live. Read more about how it saves me money here.

Also, for some reason Tripp likes to make what he calls Costco Runs. And I like to send him because he rarely buys anything extra - in contrast to me. While I'm sure saving money on the food I get there, I always end up with anything from Tupperware to picture frames - all stuff I didn't go in to buy but suddenly NEED.

Love,

I thought this was so funny because I am always doing the same. My husband goes directly to the store and gets nothing but what's on my list. I on the hand go to the store and do like you do, get everything else with the money I've saved.
