If you laugh when it's this hot can anyone hear it?
Did you know that the guy who does the Dilbert cartoon has a blog? Not that I read the Dilbert cartoon, but he does have a funny way of putting things in words:
Speaking of heat waves, it's supposed to be 99 degrees here but Weather Underground says it's 91. The heat index is 106 degrees. Don't know exactly how they get the heat index, but that is what it feels like. No sensible person is outside right now.

I tried to tell my husband that.
My husband works on slate roofs, and he is out there in this horrible weather. 99 degrees, with a heat index of 106. I know he must really love us..if I was him I would NOT be working!!

it's hot here too. (middle of canada)
we are one of the few without air conditioning in our home.
i just go shopping.

maybe it would be cheaper to invest in an air unit. ha ha. :)

I fall into the "not sensible" category. I don't think it counts if you are in a pool, which we were this morning. My boys can only take so much indoor play. They have their big water jugs and we just came inside from another stint in this hot MD weather. I make them come in every 45 minutes though.
