Sweet Baby James Update

Remember James, the little boy with Down syndrome from China who needed a home?
Well, a lot of people do. I know because I get email requesting updates.
I spoke to a rep at A Helping Hand agency yesterday. She said that since the hundreds of phone calls and emails they received after I posted James's story, five or six families have emerged as potential candidates for bringing James home.
A committee will be meeting next week to review these applications and by next Friday they hope to have a match. She will be in touch with me and I will let you know. I am hoping that I will be able to have contact with this family and write the story of James's journey to be with his family.
Let's continue to pray for James and the family God has already prepared to bring him home.

I am glad to hear the udpate, I had been wondering about him myself. We are about to get a child to come into our home but not for adoption---it is children's medical missions where they fly children from Africa over for needed surgery. While they are here they need a host family to provide their basic needs and take them to doctors appointments and so on. We will be hosting a little 5 year old boy who is having a colostomy reversed. I think it is going to be such a blessing for all of us!
