What do you have to do to get off Planned Parenthood's mailing list?
Am I the only person in the world who receives mail from the Planned Parenthood and Focus on the Family? The ACLU and the AFA? [Note: a reader thought I meant that I was against all four of these organizations. I guess I was a little unclear. I meant the contrast between the ACLU and Focus and the contrast between ACLU and AFA - why do I get mail from both ends of the political spectrum?]
With PP, I usually open it, write something like "Planned Parenthood doesn't believe in equal rights for unborn women" or "Smile! God loves you!" on the coupon and send in back in their prepaid envelope. I figure that costs them.
Today, I'm just doing this:

Seriously. I've been a pro-lifer for almost 20 years. Why am I still on PPFA's data base? It certainly invalidates the numbers they publish for membership, doesn't it?

I use only a first initial of first name and this way planned parenthood does not know if they are mailing to men or women. I also ask their abortion clinics to mail out literature that I then just throw out or return at their expense.

I got on their mailing list by donating to an environmental charity which I honestly thought was doing good work. They purchased large tracks of land with donations and then turned them over to universities and whatnot who would be able to preserve them. Unfortunately, this got me linked to planned parenthood and ACLU. I understand that, but what's your beef with Focus on the Family? In all honesty, I haven't found anything offensive on their website or in their publications. Have you seen something I haven't? I'm nearly done reading Dobson's "Bringing Up Boys" and I am so impressed with him, I'd read more of his work. He hasn't said a single thing in that book that can't pass my common sense test, nor have I found any anti-catholic propoganda so common in protestant writings.

Yeah, I get Pacific Justice Institute, AFA, Focus on the Family - and Planned Parenthood "elerts". But I signed up for that one on purpose - kind of a 'know thy enemy' thing.
Joe Scheidler's book, "50 ways You can Stop Abortion", talks about doing things like signing up for mailing lists, on the theory that every piece of literature or minute they spend on YOU is resources that are taken away from someone else. So, if you call them and tie up their line (asking about office hours, directions, etc.), than that staff member is unavailable to answer any other call at that moment. Food for thought!
