Preparing future mommies and daddies

I am so excited to have found these two wonderful books my children grew up with. I’ve been wanting to recommend them, but they seemed to have disappeared. Amazon has some used copies of the Mommy one starting at 34.75 – gulp!

I found these newly-published copies for only 4.46 each at AG Distribution. I have worked out a deal with them similar to the one I have with Amazon so that a small percentage of purchases you make coming in from my site will go to support MommyLife. I’m so eager to tell you about these two books that I haven’t taken the time to browse or to make any other recommendations there, but AG Distribution is loaded with Christian books, movies, music, T-shirts and even homeschool curriculum. And their prices are very competitive. So think of them next time you need something along those lines.

In the meantime here are two books I consider Must-Haves for every Christian family:

WhenImAMommy.jpg

"When I grow up I want to be a mommy -- a very good mommy! There will be a lot of things for me to learn, but the Bible tells us all we need to know about how to be the very best mommy."

Thus begins a beautiful exposition of what Proverbs 31 means and what an honor it is for a girl to become the very best mommy she can be. Being a mommy is hard work, but that the love she receives from her family makes it all worthwhile. Not only good to read for our daughters (and an early reader), but a wonderful reminder for us. You might find yourself paging through it now and then for encouragement and inspiration.

WhenImADaddy.jpg

"Yes, being a daddy is a big, tough job. It will take a lot of time and hard work. But God will help me be a good daddy someday because I want to do things His way!"

When your little guy grows up, more important than anything else is the daddy he will be. This book offers a vision of what God's intention is for his life with child-friendly text and Bible verses. Read aloud or early reader.

These books are quite simply the best!!! You will love them and your children will too. I promise.

Love,

I know this post is old, but I just wanted you to know that I ordered these books. My five and three year olds have been talking about being a daddy and mommy and I remembered this post. I can't wait to see these books and read them with my kids!

Thanks for your recommendations. I really enjoy your books and blog and am confident that if you like something, it's worth looking at. Thanks.
