    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool
  • A Chair for My Mother
    A Chair for My Mother
A remarkably beautiful story told by a young girl whose mother is a waitress. Since they lost all their furniture in a fire, they've been saving mother’s tips in a jar – so they can buy a big comfortable chair for their whole family to enjoy – daughter, mother and grandmother. Life has its ups and downs, but there’s always lots of love. Ages 4-7

Supporting this site - Thank you

I was just checking my Amazon Associates account. That's the deal I have with Amazon so that if you click through my site - by clicking on to a book recommendation or Barbara's Store over there on the right sidebar - I receive a small percentage of purchases you make.

I just want to thank some of you who made major purchases through Amazon - we're talking potty seats to power saws. As I've mentioned before, there isn't much you can't buy through Amazon - even front-lading washers - and their prices are hard to beat. Plus I love being able to read the ratings and reviews and comparing products to make an educated decision - especially without running all over town.

You can even order your diapers through Amazon - thus saving gas and time and energy packing the kids up and going to the store - where, if you're like me, you may end up buying stuff you never set out to buy.

So please keep MommyLife in mind when you need to buy stuff. Click through here to Amazon and check out their prices. You will save money and it will go a long way toward making this site pay for itself - which is my ultimate goal :)

Love,
