Building future Democrats

My son-in-law Kip sent me this link:

Why Mommy Is a Democrat.

With apologies to any Democrat readers I have, I must say this is funny and creepy at the same time. Can anyone say propaganda? Be sure to read the sample pages and "about the book."

As Kip wrote in his email: "looks like something Stalin would have made mandatory reading for school children. Just substitute Democrats with Communists."

Anyway, I don't think we have much to worry about since their reproduction rate is abysmally low - see I Told You So!

Love,

exactly - who are they going to read the book to?

Unbelievable. The sample pages absolutely killed me: "Democrats make sure children can go to school." And Republicans DON'T? Pshaw! It's propoganda, plain and simple. I'm a conservative, yet I would never in a million years read a book like this (about Republicans) to my children.

HI Barbara,

I live in South Dakota, we have a big election coming up this November, we have an abortion ban on our ballot, Please ask your readers to pray for our state so that this abortion ban can win! I think that on voteyesforlife.com they have the explanation of the bill that is being voted on.

Just thought you'd want to know.

Just for the record, I am a democrat. I have to say I find it creepy myself. No way I'm reading that to my kids.

It is propaganda in it's purest form.

I'm actually a bit offended. Do they feel our party has to resort to brainwashing young children? Wait. Don't answer that.

Come on...this must be a joke. I think Rush Limbaugh must have really written it to make Dems look brainless :)

Thanks for the laugh.

Whimsy, I was wondering if the book would be offensive to many Democrats.

If you want equal-opportunity creepiness, check out Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed! by Katharine DeBrecht. I ran across this book in the children's section of a local library and wanted to hide it behind the stacks.

Just goes to show there's plenty of propaganda to go around.

Hmmm...
What a bizarre little tract! I guess when you can't use the bible to teach your children you have to turn to something. I would say it's funny if I thought the author wasn't dead serious. It's funny like Stephen King is funny. I wonder what it says about the Democrats making sure that all people get to be born... just like mommy does. Who IS mommy anyway?
I guess instead of big brother they are more comfortable with big Mama.
Hmm...
