    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!
  • Noisy Nora
    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Diet Update

Saw this great article at Prevention this morning:

What to do when the scale won't budge

One recommendation she makes:

Get enough shut-eye
Women who slept for 5 hours or less a night were 32% more likely to gain weight than those who slumbered a full 7 hours.

Also, any of you losing weight, please report your loss to me and I'll add it to the grand total under the fat lady on the right.

And don't forget to visit my frined Mel, The Amazing Shrinking Mom, who has her own brand of wisdom:

I put on my jeans anyway, though, even though my instinct was to reach for a pair of pants with an elastic waist. Then I remembered I don't own any pants with elastic waists because elastic waisted pants just lead to trouble. Better to zip up a snug pair of jeans and to be conscious of your girth than to feel loose and easy in elastic.

- and tons of humor - to offer each day.

Love,

You could add me to the total - I've lost 45 pounds since January 1.

As a group, the One Weigh team has lost 152.5 lbs since July 25th. That's 14% of our total goal.

Personally, I've lost 23.6lbs.
