Non-slip soap for kids - great stocking stuffer

This is an unsolicited product endorsement:

Johnson's Kids Super Sudzer E-Z Grip Soap

Sometimes it's the little things in life that really matter! Though I'm not one for frivolous new products, this was one that answered a definite need in a home with special needs children - and would be useful for any children during the period when they're learning to shower themselves. The gauzy wrap around each bar of soap helps little hands hold on so the soap doesn't keep slipping to the floor. This has really helped my younger boys master the art of independent showering.

You can make something similar to this - fold a washcloth in half and sew to make a pocket (like an eyeglasses case. Put the bar of soap inside. If you make it "pillow sham" style (fold in two sides, leaving the opening in the middle instead of the end) you can use it to recycle soap slivers.

Yikes! I usually do not purchase Johnson's products due to their support of Planned Parenthood. Yes, I even have to forgo Aveeno and Johnson's Natural products, big bummer!
It does look like another great idea...I wish the higher ups would not give the company a political slant.

But let me close by saying that I am enjoying your blog immensely and that I have purchased two of your books. I am bringing "Lord, Meet Me in the Laundryroom" to my MOMs group at church as we were just discussing how we find time to get spiritual.

Keep up the inspiring work!

I, too am pro-life and was wondering about other companies who support Planned Parenthood to boycott....any info?

I know there are MANY but can't say I know them all. My 9 y.o. daughter discovered McDonalds was on the list and SHE has banned everyone in the family from going..and surprisingly...they all do! We haven't eaten there in over a year and a half. We also don't do American Girl due to their contribution to the Girls Inc. organization. (They like to promote same sex issues and all "choices" available to girls. This is for girls in the 5-young teem age group!)(AG is owned by Mattel so if you wanted to extend your protest dollars it would eliminate lots of your toy options...ouch!) I can also mention the Ford Motor Company.

Somewhere there is a list that is put out by an organization that names ALL the companies. I am afraid I would not be able to shop anymore if I actually read it through! I did see that U2 was on the list at one point. How sad is that? The band I grew up with??!!

LDI is the comprehensive boycott list.

I have to say, though, I do actually use the soaps in this thread and I really like them. They smell good and produce a good lather.
