    Noisy Nora
Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

See the world through children's eyes

I've always thought that the first step to learning to be a good mom to your kids is to see the world through their eyes. Many readers of my books and/or blog (like here) have heard me refer to a big chair that always reminds me of what the world is like for children.

When I lived in San Francisco, the big chair I referred to was at the Exploratorium. And lo and behold, even after I moved 3000 miles I had a big chair practically in my backyard - over the mountain halfway between me and my grandchildren.

Now, since my next two books will have pictures, I have the opportunity to use a photo to describe what I'm saying - and we all know that a picture can say a thousand words:

There's a "Big Chair" similar to this in Alton, Illinois. It's a replica of one where Robert Wadlow (World's Tallest Man) sat. It's amazing to see how small a grown person can feel in such an enormous chair!
Thanks Barbara!
