Advent books for children

My friend Ann just sent me these suggestions for Advent books for children:

Jotham's Journey - Though I haven't seen this myself yet, judging by the ranking and customer review at Amazon, it looks like a worthy addition to any family's Christmas celebration. (Our family has books collected over the years which only come out in December and replace all the books on the coffee table.)

Jotham's Journey is part of a trilogy which also includes Bartolomew's Passagee and Tabitha's Travels, but the former seems to be currently unavailable and the latter's used listings at Amazon are way overpriced.

I'm hoping next year we might be able to get them all at reasonable prices.

We are starting Jotham's Journey tonight Barbara! We used Bartholomew's Passage last year and I thought it was excellent and so did my daughter. The author seems to be in search of a new publisher right now from what I hear, and so they are out of print and very over priced this season. Everyone should keep it in mind for next year though, hopefully they will be in print once again!
