    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

Poor Nora! The loveable mousette experiences all the pangs of the child-in-the- middle, caught between the demands of baby brother and bossiness of big sister. Catchy meter, playful illustrations make for a wonderfully satisfying mouse's tale. Baby-Preschool

Apron Power! #12

Hi, Barbara!

I'm a newer reader of your blog, and I love gleaning from your experience and wisdom! My name is Tammy, and I'm a 24-year-old wife and mama to two little boys ages 2.5 and 11 months. We're a second-generation homeschooling family (my two-year-old does projects that we call "school" ;D), excited about the adventures ahead of us. :)

I spend a good deal of time in the kitchen, since we like to eat home-cooked meals made from scratch. My husband, Joshua, and I both love to cook! We even started a cooking blog Tammy's Recipes since we get so many requests for recipes. :) Joshua likes to grill meats and bake cheesecakes. He makes excellent cheesecakes! I cook "everything else" and wash the dishes. ;) In the summer, my mom and I spend a day or two each week together, canning tomato sauces, apple sauce, or whatever food we've been blessed with. The children help, of course. This blog entry has some photos of my oldest son helping me make muffins and cupcakes and I also have a blog entry with photos from the first time my second child helped with dishes -- at 10 months of age! Dishes is their favorite chore. :D

I'm attaching a photo of myself, holding Eliyahu (11 months), wearing an apron made for me by my friend Olivia.

I love this apron because it has a cute oven mitt pattern and it covers so much of my shirt when I'm cooking. :)

Thanks again for sharing with your readers through your blog! :)
