Kristy's Baby - PS

Well, now I really feel connected to this little guy! Kristy commented:

Awwww shucks Barbara, *blushes* I didn't know you were going to blog my blog lol! ( I feel honored though, btw!) It was important to me I announced Joey's arrival to you, as before I stumbled upon Mommylife well over a year ago, my hubby was convinced 2 children was enough. God worked on my heart through your blog, and sometime later worked on dh's heart too (we are now open to how ever many children God brings our way and how ever He chooses to do so, whether bilogical or through adoption)...and now we have this precious blessing squirming in our arms! Amazing how our God works, and how He uses each of us to achieve His purpose. Thank you for being part of that "plan" ;)

Joey, 2 1/2 weeks.

Wow, this made me day. If God only accomplished one thing through my writing at MommyLife, this would be enough! You know, when I started blogging all I knew was that I wanted a more immediate way to communicate with readers than the more traditiona means.. Now I love writing here more than anything I get paid for. And it is a privilege to think that God can use it somehow.

Reminds me of this quote:

When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.

Helen Keller

I so appreciate your letting me know this, Kristy! And yay for you! I think the most useful character trait we can have is teachability. We all make mistakes or come to conclusions that turn out to be wrong. But as long as we remain humble and willing to let God change our minds, we have the opportunity for a richer life. God's plan for our lives undoubtedly will include much more responsibility and reward than we would ever have the confidence to plan for ourselves.

Love,
