    The Little Red Hen
Hooray for a good work ethic! The little red hen asks but receives no help in her efforts to put bread on the table. Yet all who wouldn't help would like to eat. In a refreshingly old-fashioned triumph of moral consequences, they don't get to!

Anorexia - a mother/daughter view

Diane, who blogs at Praying for a Prodigal wanted me to pass this on to you:

It is with great joy and gratitude that I email you to let you know about a very touching and important series that is currently going on in blogosphere. Kristen, from Mama's So Called Life has been posting a series on her experience with anorexia. Simultaneously, Kristen's mother who blogs at Call Me Grandma Dawn is posting from her perspective, about loving a daughter who faced this life threatening eating disorder head-on!

I have told them both that I think this series is simply the beginning of a really good book! Where else can you read about something that affects so many of our girls (and boys); hearing a first-hand experience, while reading the agonizing journey of a parents love for someone who is struggling through this disorder.

Don't miss this series! And please, leave a comment for both of them: a vote of support and encouragement--besides, it's National De-Lurking week! :)

Diane

Thanks Diane! This is what I love about women blogging - no more secrets!! We can share our trials and triumphs and improve the quality of each others' lives - in between loads of laundry and wiping noses!

Love,
