An honor to have this gentleman reading my blog:
Dear Barbara:Loved your photos from the March! I have a bunch I took at previous Marches and other occasions, but as an old-time picture editor, I recognize first rate work when I see it -- plus the marvelous touch you bring to them with your comments. I, too, have had an adventurous life -- 10 kids in all, one of whom I personally delivered in 15 minutes! (whew! that was fast!). Two have gone to meet the Lord -- my first who was a preemie and lived for 18 days, and then my daughter Eva (the one I delivered) who died of an avoidable heart attack at 39. I'm now a lucky 77, but by all the fun I've had, I'm at least 177.[Barbara's emphasis - we can all only hope to feel this way ourselves some day!]
