Akiane - child artist
Just received this interesting link in my email to a 12-year-old artist named Akiane who is all over TV these days.
For those so inclined, Akiane will be on The View Friday morning. (I don't watch daytime TV - or much nighttime either - but I don't think I could ever sit through that show - especially with Rosie O'Donnell who I find very coarse and disagreeable - I don't care what her sexuality is.)
I did visit her website though. I'm curious about 12-year-old prodigies :)
You can see by her paintings that she is divinely inspired. She says that she was taken up to heaven at the age of four. Her mother, who was an atheist, and the rest of the family all became believers as a result of Akiane's experience.
The page I like the best at her website is Akiane's Life, particularly the Q&A. My favorite:
Why do you think you received the artistic gift at four years of age?God thought that I was ready, and it was His timing.
Which color is your favorite?I love all the colors. Each gives me a different feeling. For example, yellow is the color of energy. Violet is the color of visions. Green is the color of peace. Brown is the color of rest. Pink is the color of trust. Gold is the color of providence. Grey is the color of old age. Sand color is the color of waiting. Orange is the color of listening. Red is the color of love. White is the color of truth. Blue is the color of the mind.
And I love her self-discipline!

This is really getting around. A friend sent me a link to the CNN interview a couple of weeks ago. I've seen her mentioned several places since then.
I've tried to find out if this family is Christian. Akiane talks plenty about God but there's never a mention of Jesus Christ.
Do you know what exactly their faith is? I'm very curious. This is definitely one very amazing young girl. :)
