Blogroll update and a tour of MommyLife
If you link to me through your blog, please check my blogroll to see if you are there and if the link is correct. Let me know if I need to update anything.
Also, my BlogGuru added this nifty feature so that when I add someone to my blogroll, the link has a flashing "new" icon next to it, so you can see who's been added recently.
Thanks to all of you who link to MommyLife! Mommies change the world one child at a time. I'm still working on that too, but I hope by sharing my Montessori training and mothering experience I'm making a difference in your life too!
With 1304 entries and 5659 comments, there is a wealth of information here. If you are new to this site and have preschoolers, try clicking on Categories at the top, then clicking on Montessori or Preschoolers for some ideas on improving your life with your kids. In parenting, knowledge is power, and understanding your children's developmental needs and providing for them will help you raise the joy level in your home - trust me!
You can also use the Google in the right sidebar to look for specific topics at this site.
And finally, you can always email me with a question for input from me and/or my readers.
My books are available through Amazon by clicking on the button on the right sidebar. There is also a link to Amazon which allows you to support this site while you shop.
Finally - there is a great deal of helpful information in the top left sidebar under Barbara's Picks. Though these are linked to products at Amazon, the entries for the kid-specific categories will give you a lot of insight into how to use items you may already own or you can pick up used to make the most of them in nurturing your child's learning potential. Be sure to check them out. This is the kind of information that will be included in my next books - but you can pick up some ideas in advance simply by reading through Barbara's Picks or Site Googling to come up with ideas for making the most of say, those wooden puzzles with knobs you probably already have.
Thanks to all of you who visit. MommyLife is currently averaging 2382 visits per day, yet I still feel so close to each of you. I guess it's because I've been living with children for 37 years. Still dealing with wet beds, loads of laundry, doctors' visits - only now with the added scope of college and married children. So many mothering adventures to share! Books are one thing, but I'm grateful for this place to write and reach mommies every day!
