Busy day - mentally and physically
Lindsey said: "Blessings to you for taking a bold step."
Thanks Lindsey - just want you all to understand that I haven't been avoiding political commentary out of fear for what people would think of me - I'm an ENTJ, after all :)
I just write as I feel led, keeping an obedient spirit. I try to think of myself as simply a pen in the Author's hand. He seems to have led me into different types of writing at different periods. In days to come I will be filling you in on more of my writing background and past skirmishes with the left. You can pray for me as this means I am sure to get piled on :)
But I've been through it before and have developed a pretty thick skin. I've got some great stories to share - as those of you who've read Reaching the Left from the Right have already heard. :)
Just balancing this conversation with you today with taking care of my kids - who are all home from school. We've cleaned the house together - amazing how fast it goes with more helpful hands - and gone sledding. Dinner's in the crockpot, laundry's in. I have to do our taxes sometime soon.
But as I go about my work, I can already see the future posts unfolding in my mind. I even jotted down a few notes. As Agatha Christie once said, "The best time for planning a novel is when you're doing the dishes." No matter what I am doing, my mind is full of ideas.
Tomorrow morning I pick up five grandchildren - Samantha's - to come spend four days with Grandma, Grandpa, and the aunties and uncles. Remember that the baby Samantha and Kip were in the process of adopting died the day after Christmas in the orphanage in Guatemala? Well, there is a new baby girl they are going to meet this weekend and the process will begin again.
They've already announced no school for Loudoun County tomorrow, so it should be a day of lots of fun with ten kids under 14 - plus Sophia (17) - well, actually a whole weekend of fun.
In the meantime, there's so much I want to share, I feel like we're trying to have a cup of coffee and talk while taking care of our kids :)
Excuse me - I'll be right back.. . .
