Feeling Grateful for you all
[Note: I published this yesterday without the pictures. Because of the discussion at Shannon's Rocks in My Dryer, I thought I might be the only mom who felt like I didn't want to restrict my life in that way. But Tara spontaneously wrote me BTW—I’d be happy to have you post the pic of Sophie if you’d like. I’m not in the “no pictures of our kids†camp and if you think the pink cowboy boots would give your readers a chuckle, you are very welcome to do so.wanted you all to see them :)
So now you can enjoy them too!
Dear Barbara,Just a note to thank you for signing and sending your book SO quickly. I’m really looking forward to reading it.
Also—I know I’m WAY past your little “contest†… but we received a VERY special package in the mail yesterday and I truly thought it might bless you to see Sophia Grace and me in the vintage aprons that my mother-in-law made for us (from vintage seed sack cloth no less!) using an old pattern she inherited from HER mother (how fun!):
Thanks for encouraging two of your “western†fans to thoroughly ENJOY the Lord and the tasks He has given us this day. (We had a blast making Valentine’s cookies for our small group tonight.)
You know … this motherhood thing SO does not come naturally to me. And I have a LONG way to go in mastering my domestic-diva-duties. But I have learned much from you, dear sister! And Sophia has been the blessed recipient of your wisdom passed on to me.

Dear Tara -Thanks so much for the encouragement! I don't have this motherhood thing down perfectly either. :) And I appreciate having a community of moms with whom I can talk things over.
Just thought I'd print this as a thank-you to you all for your involvement and encouragement here at MommyLife. I think it's helping us all find more fulfillment and joy - more glimpses of God - in our lives with our children, don't you?
