Loudoun County or northern Virginia readers?

Mommy Life is up to 2500 visits a day. Of course, some of those are people stumbling in through googling things like "boys' haircuts" or "children's table and chairs" or "laundry room photos" :) or "potty training."

Sitemeter tracks where visits come from and how long they last. Here's an example of the list of the last 60 visitors, minus those where the city was not identified:

Of course, this is stacked for the other side of the globe since we were mostly all asleep :)

What I'd like to know is how many readers I have locally. There's a topic I'd like to spend some time on that involves local politics, but I have so many things to write about that I'm debating whether it's worth my time. Of course, it may also have application for people in other places, so I'm taking that into account.

Still. If you live in Loudoun or northern Virginia or the DC metropolitan area, please leave a comment to let me know. Next week I'm even meeting a reader for tea who lives a few miles from me!

Love,

Not Northern Virginia...but down I-81 a bit in Augusta County. Although I don't know how this works, but I probably don't show up at all unless I pop over to leave a comment since I read you in Bloglines.

I'm not from DC area (although I have family in Gaithersburg, Fredricksburg, Richmond and Alexandria). I did want to mention I read your blog on a regular basis and am in Murfreesboro, TN. XOXO Thank you for your posts...I also wanted you to know I had a tumultuous relationship (AT BEST) with my family when I was growing up...it has gotten better by about 300%...I'm 32 though...so praying it changes for you! :)

I have family in Northern VA if that counts. :)

I'm from Manassas, and somehow came upon your blog through Down syndrome--I have a daughter with Ds.

Loudoun County - down the road a piece from where you are. : - ) Maybe we'll meet at the grocery store someday. Bloom or Giant?

I live in Scotland, but visited Loudoun County for 3 weeks as part of a school exchange 14 years ago. Small world!

Hi Barbara,
I think I've told you that I read your blog pretty regularly, but I've never commented. We're in Loudoun County, but I'll see you at church!

Neighbor until the military moves us to be someone else's neighbor.

Speaking of local news, I recently found this http://www.city-journal.org/html/17_1_reading_first.html interesting article comparing NCLB's Reading First in Richmond and Fairfax. Of course, it has national application as well.

Hi Barbara! We're in Sterling--sometimes I see your column in the local paper too, if we get a free one tossed in our driveway! I've enjoyed your blog for over a year now. I have 5 kids and am expecting #6 in May. My husband is active duty Air Force. : )

Hi Barbara!
I'm on Capitol Hill in DC and found your site through an interview on largerfamilies.blogspot.com.

Central Maryland, Carroll County...between Frederick and Baltimore.

About "24"; We like the show too but found the violence in the the second season (I think) to be too extreme and gratuitous. The 5th season was much better. Also, I'm not sure about the "conservative" aspect. After all Archie Bunker was considered a hero by many racists when he was really making fun of them. We like to see the bad guys get it too but within the bounds of justice and order. And another thing....Jack Bauer's promises..."Nothing is going to happen to you, I promise" yeah right.

We live in N. Va! What church do you all attend? We go into DC to Capitol Hill Baptist. I love your story...you remind me of what my mom used to be, but never changed...LOVE your story!

Hi - we're in South Riding, run a fairly new Loudoun County blog and a website called Dulles South Online, along with a local computer training/Internet Safety outfit for kids (Whizkids).
