Valentines Day Ideas

It started in ancient Rome when a kind physician named Valentine took an interest in a young blind girl. With his healing skill and his deep faith he restored her sight. What we now call Valentine's Day began when he sent the little girl a secret message, which she received after the Christian martyr was executed. . .
If your kids give Valentines, here is a wonderful alternative to Sponge Bob and Scooby Doo:

These are old-fashioned press-out valentines with flocking and everything. I'm excited about finding them, but maybe they're way before your time. . .
These are available at amazon - just click on the picture to get there.

Oh Barbara! Thank you so much for that diaper commercial. I really needed that laugh!

I sat down at our computer a couple of years ago and typed out "The 100 things I love about my Husband, Neal". It is now framed and hangs in our bedroom. It is a reminder to both of us that after 23yrs of marriage that there are so many reasons stick together. It also did not cost a cent. I think if you ask my hubby he would say it was the best Valentine I ever gave him.

You are so right! That would be far better than anything we could buy!

My kids and I made Valentines a week ago. What fun we had with the glue, the heart doilies, the victorian scrap, the spray adhesive and the glitter. Oh joy! And they really were very beautiful too. They're all posted and in the mail now.

Lol, I do remember these Valentines (vaguely). Thanks for the memory jog... and the reminder that the big day is fast approaching.

Barbara,
A few days ago you had a link to a book with fill-in-the-blank style questions to fill out for your spouse. I can't seem to find that link anymore.
:( Could you please direct me to the link or give me the name of the book as I plan on getting it and filling it out for my husband's Valentine's Day gift.
Thanks!
