Paperback Swap - Free books!

This is amazing!! At least for a household of booklovers like mine.

Angie told me about PaperbackSwap - club where you list your books (hardbacks too) and agree to send them free as people order them (it usually costs 1.59 to send a paperback via media mail - a little more if it's heavier than a pound).

For every book you sell, you get a point which you can then use to order a book from their HUGE database. And when you sign up and list nine books, they give you three points to start ordering stuff right away.

I signed up and within 10 minutes had listed nine books and ordered a book I've been looking for (in hardback too!). Not only that, but of the nine books I listed, two were on people's waiting lists and I've already packed one off to mail tomorrow. So I already made a point.

So did Angie because I listed her as my referral. The link above is coded so that if you use it to sign up yourself, I will get a point on my account.

But I would tell you even if there were no points for referrals. I think this is so totally COOL!

Paperback Swap has over a million books listed. And btw, I looked up my books and none are there, but they are on several wish lists. I guess that's good :)

Love,

I LOVE PBS -- I have been a member for almost 2 years -- I have a book to get ready to mail and 3 enroute to their destination. I have gotten some awesome books there.

Aww...as a Canadian, I cannot participate in this club. Why does the USA have all the good stuff???

On the bright side, the FAQ's state that they are working on issues with our Canadian Postal system, so hopefully they will be able to work something out so we can get free books too.

Proudly Canadian, but wish we got cool deals like our neighbours in the USA :)
