Be back soon
I am temporarily out of service.
No kidding.
I went back on the Fat Flush Diet yesterday - determined to lose this last 30 pounds (for those new here, I lost 75 pounds between February and September 2006 and have been maintaining since).
This is the strictest diet in the world, I think - I'm only going back on it because it works.
But part of the package is giving up all caffeine and carbonated beverages. I did this for seven months last year, but when I came off the diet, I went back to drinking coffee. Now I'm suffering serious withdrawal. I didn't even know you could get headaches like this. I am completely unable to work and feeling absolutely depressed.
So that's why you're not hearing from me. I looked up caffeine withdrawal and found it can last 1-5 days. So by Independence Day I will have more freedom to celebrate. And hopefully a some lost pounds.
I'll keep you posted, but nothing deep.

I'll say a prayer for you. I know what the headache feels like...I missed my morning cup of coffee the week of VBS and let me tell you--I was in tears all evening b/c I hurt so bad!
Good luck with the diet!!!

Try vitamin B-12 - it is supposed to help get rid of caffeine headaches.

Trust me, caffeine is not worth all the headaches of going on and off it. I gave up caffeinated soda quite a while ago and the only thing I miss is being able to order a drink at restaurants. If you drink it on a regular basis, it doesn't even end up keeping you up or alert anymore, and if you don't, you have the headaches... On the plus side, caffeine withdrawal headaches never last over a day for me, although they also aren't as severe as yours sound.

Barbara,
You linked to the One Day Detox Diet. Is that what you are doing or the Fat Flush Plan?
Good for you on the restart...now if I could just START!!

barbara,
You had me doing the one day fat flush last year with great success but then I was on bed rest for three weeks and the lack of movement didn't help matters. Anyway, maybe I will join you to lose my 25 pounds.
And LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new photo!!
hope to see you soon!!

Oh Barbara,
I feel your pain about the caffeine withdrawl! We were on vacation this week and my husband kept bringing me gigantic mochas loaded with caffeine (I normally don't drink caffeine at all). I have had a major migraine headache for the past two days!

Barbara, when I met you at Mount Hermon I was shocked to hear you had recently lost 75 pounds. Very impressive! If you could achieve that goal with all you have going on, I am inspired to rid myself of the extra pounds I carry.
