Hello from Boston
I've been here since Wednesday on assignment from Focus on the Family covering the vote on the marriage amendment which I am too tired to explain right now.
But you can find the background - mixed in with my own personal photo journal of my first trip to Boston by clicking below and reading the captions:

I've done my interviews and gathered all my information. My work is finished here. I will start writing the story next week. My flight doesn't leave until tomorrow afternoon though, so I'm hoping tomorrow morning to catch up on my email. Hope you all are still out there!

I was there to cover Kris Mineau of Massachusetts Family Institute, who had promises from 57 legislators that they would be voting yes (they needed 50 for the amendment to go forward) to allow the people of Massachusetts the opportunity to vote. In the last week there was tremendous pressure brought to bear by people from outside the state - including Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. Lots of arm twisting and who knows what. In the end, some who had told Mineau only a day before they would vote yes waffled. With only 45 votes, the amendment was defeated and the people of Massachusetts were denied their right to vote.
Oh, Barbara, doesn't that remind you of the Sodom and Gomorrah story - if there were FIVE [more] righteous people?
Sounds like quite a trip.
