Montessori for every mom
I have to confess that I don't know much about Montessori. Is there a book that is "Montessori for Dummies?" :) I'd like a book that explains the basics of Montessori. Thanks. I read your blog every day and appreciate it so much. I've read your Lord, Please Meet Me in the Laundry Room and I hope to read The Mommy Manual next. - Sheila
Well, it's not exactly Montessori for dummies, I hope :) - but with my two books Mommy, Teach Me! and Mommy, Teach Me to Read!, I tried to take the rigorous teacher training I went through - plus my experience in classrooms and with my own children - and translate it into something reader-friendly and usable for moms at home.
Maybe you should read those first - they might answer all the questions you have about Montessori - or whet your appetite for more!
I am also working on developing more resources for MTM readers at Mommy, Teach Me! - which we plan to have up and running - but always adding new material - on July 1st.
