Update from KS Milkmaid

We are deeply moved by the outpouring of gifts, prayers, kind emails and donations of clothing sent to our farm. We are still in the thick of the greatest battle we have ever faced as a family. It is not over yet. For that reason, we continue to request steadfast prayers. My mission statement is found in 2 Corinthians 4: 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Simply, my task is to let Christ’s light sine in this dark time. It is only by the grace of God that I see any light. When a person lives through such tough times, the goodness revealed is like refreshing water from a cold spring after days of travel through a hot arid dessert. Many tears are shed here, tears of brokenness and despair. But, in the midst of all of the heartache there is the tender touch of our savior. It is in the form of insights from the written word, prayers, hugs, or needs met from donations of friends. We savor each of these things.

The children and I are grateful beyond words for the many near and far who continue to lift us before the throne in prayer. We couldn’t make it with out you. Thank you for giving me powerful lessons to teach the children on how the body of Christ works to help those who are suffering. Little minds are being shaped through this trial. The darkness is a powerful force in their lives, but the goodness of God expressed through those around us is greater than any form of darkness we face. THANK YOU for giving us hope! I look forward to sharing with you in detail how God has delivered us from heartache once this is over. We serve a God who actively works in our lives and covers every detail. I can’t wait to share! Until then…God bless!!!

Love,
