Call for photos of learning areas at home

Dear Mrs. Curtis,

Some time ago, I saw some pictures of how different home schooling families had set up their learning areas. A few of these were in the Montessori style. I can't seem to find them again, and I thought perhaps they might have been at your site. Do you remember posting or linking to pictures of this nature?

We are finishing our basement, so I will have a clean slate to start with as I assemble a nice learning area. My ideal layout would include shelves with activity baskets available for use by my children, book rack with books facing out, a rug with a labyrinth design, whiteboard/felt board, low table, and other supplies in easy reach (as well as higher storage for those supplies that require supervision). This will be a long-term process due to money constraints, but we are also good at building things ourselves. I'll even probably paint my own rug (I'm thinking canvas with paint and then sealer on top).

Thanks for any links you can provide to actual pictures to help give me some ideas.

Respectfully,
Lara

I would love to invite my readers who have learning areas set up in their house to send pictures to include in an album - it would be great to share ideas. Please just send them to my email megamommy12 (at)gmail.com.

Lara - I'll share as they come in!

Love,

Would you prefer a link to pictures of our whole house, property, and anywhere we go during the day?

:)
