Daniel makes my days brighter!
Daniel is such a sweetie! He's my #11 child, the second of three adopted at the end of our birth children - one of our four sons with Down syndrome.
Every Sunday at church, Daniel has a quarter to put in the offering plate. And exvery Sunday as he puts it in the plate, he says "Thank You!" with absolute delight.
He also says "Thank you!" when we correct him about anything.
Isn't that the way we all should be?
He loves music (well, don't all Curtises?). Every night for grace we join hands and sing "Let All Things Their Creator Bless" and then we pray. Daniel loves that song and whenever some of his quirky behaviors appear in the car, I slip in the CD of it and he is immediately captivated. His eyes open super wide and he starts singing along - an instant spiritual makeover.
Oh, and he is dedicated to singing/saying grace before meals - even when we go through drive-thrus and pass out the food (not for me, thanks!) we have to stop the car and join hands and sing.
Just sitting here thinking about how adorable he can be....

I love your blog and it has really touched me. Often I have thoughts of contacting you but what I have to say would be massive and I am short on time in this season of life. I'm a mom of nine but ONLY 7 are at home (I always say that thinking it will take the shock of it away for others). Our sweet baby James (14 months) is a tri-baby so we are very blessed!
Anyway...I WAS going to make this short...The pic of your Daniel really struck me. Comparing it to yours there are striking similarities. HMMM, really makes you wonder about "nature or nuture".
Thanks for being an inspiration!

What a delightful picture of a delightful boy!!! My son's special qualities are nothing so enormous as Downs, but he teaches me so much every day and that fills me with such joy. God doesn't make mistakes when He gifts us with our children, whether through birth or adoption.

Daniel,
You make me smile! I like that picture. May God keep your heart soft to Him and to discipline! I look forward to hearing, either here on your mom's blog or as we sit around the throne of God, how God used you to further His Kingdom!
In Christ,
Mrs. Mc
